Hey everyone! I wanted to make an announcement regarding contacting me, the waiting list, and reserving within a certain time frame. I've had a few people that have been confused by it, so I just wanted to make sure I get it cleared up for everyone just in case there are others who aren't 100% sure. :)
If you have been approved to be placed on my waiting list, whether you are fully approved to adopt or pending, I will still go through and contact you for reservations. You will not be allowed to schedule an appointment to come pick up your rats unless all the required photos have been sent in for the cage, accessories, food, lease (if it applies), and any other items you would be using with the ratties, AND your application has been fully approved. These MUST be photos you've taken yourself to ensure you actually have the items. Plus, it helps me see if everything is safe or not. :)
Once you are on the waiting list and I have contacted you saying it's your turn to pick your ratties, you have 24 HOURS to reply either telling me which rats you are interested in, that you need a few days to pick (which I will allow if you ask), or that you are no longer interested. IF I do not hear back within that 24 hours, I will move on to the next person in line to choose their ratties. This is nothing against you whatsoever, I just have too many people waiting to get babies for me to wait several days to possibly hear back from them.
If I do not hear back from you within 1 WEEK, you will be removed from the waiting list and will have to start from the bottom if you do decide to get back with me after that week's time has passed. Again, I do not have the time, and neither do the people on the waiting list who are actively a part of the updates, to wait for people to get back with me. It's not fair to the rats, possible adopters, or myself to put everything on hold.
This applies to EVERYONE! So, if you happen to fall under this, and are passed over, please remember to take it upon yourself to keep active in the group, keep in contact with me, and respond within the allotted time.
I feel I am being very generous with these time frames given that lots of other breeder base their methods off first-come-first served and do not contact individuals when babies are available. This method just does not work for me and is not organized enough. There's nothing wrong with doing it that way, but keeping a waiting list makes it easier on me and, in my opinion, more fair for the adopters.
A couple of other quick updates! I have all the males and females separated, and all the mommies are back together and baby free!
The nursery cages are a bit overcrowded though, so as people put in their reservations over the next weeks, I'll be separating them to have two male and two female cages. I'll be keeping ratties together that will be going to the same homes so they are 100% familiar with each other if they're from different litters. I'm uploading a video now of the intro session I did in my pin. All the babies were swarming to see me and my fiance! <3 It was the cutest thing!
I'm also updating the waiting list on my website, updating my Etsy shop, and going to try to get the rest of the pictures uploaded to my website as well. Busy night ahead of me! Got some new cold meds that said they helped with energy, and they're doing just that! Still sniffling, but I feel like I could go rock climbing! 🤣
I may also try to get new pictures taken this weekend as well <3

Hey everyone! Reservations for Arcadia's babies will be starting tomorrow. I will contact everyone individually once it is your turn to choose. If you wish to pass on her babies, please let me know. The rest of the babies will be up for reservation within the next week or so. I'll make announcements about them as well. :)
For reservations, 50% of the total fee for all the ratties you plan on getting will be due via PayPal or Google Pay to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is non-refundable unless there is a reason on my end you are not able to adopt your chosen rats. Reasons can be, but are not limited to health and temperament issues. If you are not sure what your total is, feel free to ask!
