IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Hey everyone! I wanted to make an announcement regarding contacting me, the waiting list, and reserving within a certain time frame. I've had a few people that have been confused by it, so I just wanted to make sure I get it cleared up for everyone just in case there are others who aren't 100% sure. :) If you have been approved to be placed on my waiting list, whether you are fully approved to adopt or pending, I will still go through and contact you for reservations. You will not be allowed to schedule an appointment to come pick up your rats unless all the required photos have been sent in for the cage, accessories, food, lease (if it applies), and any other items you would be using with the ratties, AND your application has been fully approved. These MUST be photos you've taken yourself to ensure you actually have the items. Plus, it helps me see if everything is safe or not. :) Once you are on the waiting list and I have contacted you saying it's your turn to pick your ratties, you have 24 HOURS to reply either telling me which rats you are interested in, that you need a few days to pick (which I will allow if you ask), or that you are no longer interested. IF I do not hear back within that 24 hours, I will move on to the next person in line to choose their ratties. This is nothing against you whatsoever, I just have too many people waiting to get babies for me to wait several days to possibly hear back from them. If I do not hear back from you within 1 WEEK, you will be removed from the waiting list and will have to start from the bottom if you do decide to get back with me after that week's time has passed. Again, I do not have the time, and neither do the people on the waiting list who are actively a part of the updates, to wait for people to get back with me. It's not fair to the rats, possible adopters, or myself to put everything on hold. This applies to EVERYONE! So, if you happen to fall under this, and are passed over, please remember to take it upon yourself to keep active in the group, keep in contact with me, and respond within the allotted time. I feel I am being very generous with these time frames given that lots of other breeder base their methods off first-come-first served and do not contact individuals when babies are available. This method just does not work for me and is not organized enough. There's nothing wrong with doing it that way, but keeping a waiting list makes it easier on me and, in my opinion, more fair for the adopters.
